KIWANIS CLUB OF GIG HARBOR
Our Kiwanis Club was formed in late 1968 with the support of our sponsor, the University Place Club. We are part of Kiwanis International, which was formed in 1915 and has over 7000 clubs around the world (www.kiwanis.org). Kiwanis is dedicated to improving the lives of children one community at a time. In addition to helping kids, our local club also focuses on community service projects benefitting everyone, leadership programs, civic projects, senior programs and more! If you have an interest in sharing your gifts with others, enjoying great fellowship with other like-minded volunteers, and helping to make our community a great place for everyone, please consider joining!

A Foundation enables us to apply for grants and to accept tax deductible donations. In November of 2002, we set up our Foundation and were approved as a 501c3 charitable organization. Since 2002, our foundation has helped thousands of children and contributed over $600,000 to children in need, schools, veteran events, civic projects, and communities. Our current signature project is the KCK (Kiwanis Cares for Kids) program, although we support many other projects as well. We couldn’t do this without your generous donations and support of our fundraising efforts!
