Preschool Reading Program
Our reading program at Artondale Elementary, Vaughn Elementary, and Evergreen Elementary schools enriches the early reading experience of pre-school students. Our club purchases books for ECEAP (Early Childhood Education Assistance Program) and Headstart children. Members of Gig Harbor Kiwanis then read the books to the children each week, providing one-on-one reading experiences with an adult. The children then take the books home, encouraging children to read and parents to read to their children.
